REASI, Oct 22: Training programme on "Domestic Electrical Appliances Repair (DEAR)", organized by State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute concluded, here today. About twenty youth hailing from Mahore, Arnas, Dera Baba, Pouni and Seela areas participated and learnt skills of the trade. The programme included entrepreneurial inputs which are bound to equip them well to approach life with a positive, constructive and fully motivated attitude. At its valedictory function, G L Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Reasi distributed certificates amongst the passed out trainees. He exhorted upon them to convert the learning at SBI RSETI into creation of self-employment avenues for themselves. Rohit Mehta, LDM, State Bank of India impressed upon them to act as ambassadors of RSETI and spread the message in their areas so that more youth avail the facilities provided by the Institute and contribute in developmental process set in by Dr. Shaid Iqbal, District Development Commissioner Reasi. S K Kandroo, Director of the Institute pointed out that since Reasi district, barring Katra town, does not offer much potential for industries and bigger businesses, youth must hone their natural skills and take up smaller activities of their liking to generate their own self employment and eventual income. SBI RSETI is shortly starting programmes on "Mushroom Cultivation", "Mobile Repairs", Plumbing & Sanitary Works", "Inverter/UPS manufacturing & Servicing", "Hand Embroidery" and "Rain Coat/Choli Making". All interested youth may enroll themselves in any programme. |
