| BDO, Sarpanches hold interactive session | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Oct 22 : To review the implementation of rural development schemes an interactive session is organized at Block headquarter Kathua in which Sarpanches of block Kathua participated. According to press release, during the interaction a threadbare discussion was held between Sarpanches and BDO Kathua Dr. Anirudh Rai regarding introduction of Electronic Muster Rolls(EMRS) and Electronic Fund Management system (EFMS) under MGNREGA Scheme , systemic reforms under IAY scheme, panchayat saturation model under NBA scheme related to the construction of IHHL units, execution of panchayat ghars under 13th FC and MGNREGA and devolution of powers regarding fourteen line departments to PRIs. During the interaction Sarpanches gave their valuable suggestions regarding proper implementation of Rural Development Department Schemes at Grass root level in a transparent manner and also proposed sites for construction of new panchayat ghars in their panchayats where panchayat ghars are yet to be constructed. Some of the Sarpanches also focused on the need of awareness camps to be organized at panchayat level for sensitizing the rural masses about schemes of fourteen line departments which have role in devolution of powers to PRIs at panchayat level so that maximum rural people can be benefitted under the welfare schemes and BDO being a nodal officer at block level regarding devolution of power to PRIs reviewed the role of line departments and assured the elected representatives to address their grievances in a time bound manner. |
