Kathua, Oct 22: District Congress Committee Kathua on behalf of people of border area today submitted their genuine demands to Sushil Kumar Shinde. According to press release, the members said that due to frequently unprovoked heavy firing by the Pak rangers, tension has gripped and the people residing on the border are feeling insecure and farmer could not harvest their paddy crop. "That compensation of land which came under border track fencing and marches may kindly be paid. That payment of balanced amount of compensation of crop of land which came under army mines in 2002 lying pending in deputy commissioner office Kathua and tehsil office Hiranagar may kindly be disbursed", they said. They demanded an amount of Rs 10 lakh may kindly be sectioned in favour of family of Bheem Singh R/o Bobiya Hiranagar, sub inspector, ITBP who sacrificed his life in helicopter crash during relief/ evacuation operation at Utrakhand and 10 lacks to Suresh Kumar S/o Moti lal R/o Hiranagar opposite police station Hiranagar. |
