Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 26: The government pharmacists have urged the state government to convene Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting at the earliest so that the promotions of this cadre are effected in the department. This demand along with host of other demands was raised by a delegation of Government Pharmacist Association (GPA) led by President of Association, Sheikh Mehraj-ud-din during their meeting with health minister, Shabir Ahmad Khan here. In a statement, Bilal Beigh, General Secretary GPA said that long pending demands like promotion of junior pharmacists to senior pharmacists, conduct of DPC meeting, regularization of migrant, adhoc and contractual employees of the Health Department with retrospective effect were raised during the meeting. Bilal said that approval of Draft Recruitment Rules pending in Administrative Department for the last more than seven years should also be expedited. The GPA General Secretary said that health minister passed on instructions to Deputy Director, Health Services Kashmir to ensure that all the genuine demands are looked into so that they are redressed at the earliest. He said delegation included Showkat Andrabi, Abdul Ahad Qureshi, Peer Abdul Rashid and Mohammad Ilyas. |
