Srinagar, Nov 26: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Tuesday granted government three weeks time to file a response to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking action against doctors who prescribe medicines for gifts. A division bench of the court comprising of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob and M. H Attar passed the directions after state government sought time to file a response. The PIL was filed earlier this month by three persons Naseer Ahmad Shah, Lateef Panjabi and Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah following reports in section of press, highlighting nexus between the doctor and pharma companies offering and taking "cash, freebies, kickback or gifts for prescribing medicines of Macro Lab Ltd." |
