Mahore, Nov 27: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, located at Sarh, under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (uniform) organised a quiz competition at the Government Higher Secondary School, Mahore, under the ongoing Operation Sadbhavana, today. The aim of competition was to give exposure of quiz competition to the students and inculcate the habit of reading-learning. A total of 20 schools from the Mahore Sub Division took part with each school fielding three students. Students of class 8, 9 and 10 participated in the event. The encouraging part was the member of girl students who participated. The competition was based on topics of Current affairs, General Knowledge,Science and Social Science. These were also audio visual round. The students took part in the competition with enthusiasm to showcase their knowledge. After the thrilling rounds, Govt High School Mahore became the winners with Govt High school Shajroo coming close runners up. Officers from the Army, Mr Ashwini Kumar Khajuria, SDM, Mahore and Mushim Ahmed, SDPO were also present during the event. Speaking on the occasion the SDM, Mahore complimented the students for an excellent display of knowledge. A large number of books on General Knowledge and encyclopedias were distributed to the various schools on the occasion as prizes. |
