| As joining spree continues, retd bureaucrats, businessmen also in race...? | | Lalkar rally excitement reaches crescendo | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 27: As the euphoria for December 1 Lalkar rally reaches its crescendo, rumour mill is also getting rife with the same pace with respect to people joining BJP in presence of party stalwarts or a day ahead of the mega event, given the constraint of time visiting dignitaries might be having for these 'miscellenous' exercises, no matter it is on account of Modi factor and motivation that would be driving the aspirants to come into BJP fold. In addition to speculation of expelled MLAs also showing inclination to join the party again on this occassion, speculations are also doing rounds for some known public figures, heavy weights in their own fields, who may join BJP on the sidelines of Lalkar rally. Sources said on account of Modi wave making strong strides in Jammu and in view of the Parliamentary elections drawing close, some retired bureaucrats have made up mind to join BJP strongly hoping to cash in on Modi factor and trying their fortunes in some ways for a 'suitable' place within the hierarchy. There are rumours galore about a renowned IPS officer's possibility of joining the party who has retired recently after serving the state on various coveted posts. A couple of retired bureaucrats are also said to be more than willing to come under the BJP fold, Narendra Modi being the higly motivating factors getting attracted to the party ahead of Parliamentary elections. Sources also said apart from retired officials a couple of businessmen, quite popular and known figures are liklely to join BJP either the rally day or ahead of it. As for the group of 7 MLAs' possibilty of joing the party, there are only speculations, said a sources within the party adding that the rumour now goes in on that the group is divided on this issue. It is only half truth even for one group whose names are being floated just as feelers in the politcal hub which is filled with excitement these days for this rally. However, one quarter that matters within the party confirmed even if the home coming of expelled MLAs materializes, it would be only for five MLAs as the acceptance for a varied reasons is not two other MLAs inclduing one stalwart. The joining spree, pertinently has begun days ahead of the rally with more and more people getting drawn to the party, though their affiliation have not made waves as would be caused if the retired bureaucrats would get associated with the party.
