Kulgam, Nov 26: District administration Kulgam Tuesday suspended 15 government employees including Block Development Officer (BDO) for remaining absent during working hours in Government offices. Official sources told CNS that on the instructions of District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Gulzar Ahmed Shabnam during a surprise visit to Block Development Office and Government Higher Secondary School Qaimou Kulgam found 15 employees including BDO absent from duty. "To put a curb upon alleged prevalent absenteeism among government employees, the visiting officer i.e. ADC placed all the fifteen absentees namely BDO Shabir Ahmed, Section Officer Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Assistant Accounts Officer Muhammad Yousuf Shah, Junior Engineer Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhat, Orderly Muhammad Shafi Rather, Office Helpers Bashir Ahmed Shiekh and Abdul Salam Dar, Personal Assistant Gulzar Ahmed Shiekh, Computer Operators Syed Haider Bhat and Rumi Jan, Lecturers Farooq Ahmed Shiekh, Mudasir Ahmed Lone, Mehraj Tantray and Senior Assistant Masooda Akhtar under suspension immediately," sources added . ADC Kulgam told Kashmir based news agency that action against absentees would be taken under rule. He further warned government employees of prompt action in case they remain absent from the duty in future. |
