JAMMU, Nov 27: Alleging the state government over the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) scam, Janta Dal United JD (U) State President Ghulam Qadir Wani today said that government is always playing with future of those students who are capable to have such capacity in participating in every exams but are not able to pay anything due to their poorness. "Meritorious and deserving students of the state are the worst victims due to erosion of the sanctity of institutions in J&K, he said Reacting over state government, Wani while addressing a press conference here today alleged how meritorious and deserving students of the state will get justice from institution like BOPEE which is eroded sanctity due to illegal means to accommodate undeserving condition.' Referring to the BOPEE scam, he said, "Though this scandal is just tip of ice berg in government institutions and we don't know how many such scams would be made public in future." He further said, "No doubt, the Crime Branch has booked BOPEE former Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed Peer over the scam, but I personally think the issue will not obtain any progress as there are several case like this are still languishing in the Courts of Jammu and Kashmir State and nothing has been done on the ground so far.Meanwhile, on the persuasion of JD (U) Women Wing District General Secretary Nazia Kousar, a large number of women and youth from Amphalla, Sarwal and Nagrota joined the party fold after impressing upon the policies and programmes of the party in presence of state president Ghulam Qadir Wani and other senior leaders who were also present on the occasion. Jammu Urban District President Vijay Kanotra, senior Vice President Narinder Sharma, Mahila Wing Jammu Provincial President Ambika Verma, General Secretary Usha Karihullo, Rajinder Sharma Chief Coordinator, Publicity Secretary Naveen Koul, Urban District General Secretary Rajiv Pandoh, Youth Wing Jammu Provincial R Chib and Avinash Sharma were also present on the occasion. |
