Discredited AAP is over, advantage BJP
Hari Om 11/27/2013 10:26:49 PM

Hats off to CEO of Media Sarkar, Anuranjan Jha. He and his team have done a great service to the nation by conducting a sting operation on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) bluffer Arvind Kejeriwal and members of his corrupt coterie and blacken their faces beyond recognition. Media Sarkar did what was the saving grace for the people of Delhi from the unscrupulous, over-ambitious, power-hungry and highly arrogant Arvind Kejeriwal and his gang comprising corrupt and dishonest elements, land grabbers, blackmailers, secular fundamentalists and supporters of dreaded Maoist terrorists and Kashmiri separatists. They had been hoodwinking and misleading sections of gullible people by masquerading as revolutionaries, nationalists, true democrats and ardent champions of probity in public life and dismissing all others, with out any exception, as corrupt, dishonest and destroyers of institutions.
The meticulously planned and conducted sting operation, which left the supporters and admirers of the AAP across the nation stunned and established beyond any doubt that a number of AAP's senior leaders were involved in raising funds through illegal means and that eight AAP candidates seeking election to the Delhi Assembly, including Shazia Ilmi, who were contacted for their help in 'recovery of money from individuals and getting land deals done', readily agreed to extend their support in return of 'donations in cash to AAP'. (Ilmi has on a number of occasions equated RSS with Syed Ali Shah Geelani's pro-Pakistan Tehrik-e-Hurriyat). Actually, the sting operation was conducted only on eight AAP candidates. The story would have been almost the same had the Media Sarkarconducted its sting operation on all the AAP candidates seeking election to the prestigious Delhi Assembly.
Credit goes to the media house for the job it did at a very critical juncture in the interest of the people of Delhi and the country. It deserves bouquets all the more because it averted the impending disaster by exposing AAP even before it could actually take off. But credit should also go to former AAP leader Amrish Choudh-ury, who proved with clinching evidence that Arvind Kejeriwal sold the Badarpur Assembly seat to Narayan Dutt Sharma for Rs two crore throwing to wind the so-called criteria prescribed for the selection of candidates for the Delhi Assembly election, which will be held on December 4. This expose was made by India News. Amrish Choudhury had resigned from service at the beginning of this year to join the Arvind Kejariwal's fake crusade against corruption and helped the AAP in every respect hoping that the newly-founded party would work with a single-minded devotion to change the system and clean the polity of corrupt elements. This was what the broken-hearted AAP leader said on November 21 while exposing Kejriwal and presenting a true picture of facts to the nation as far as the corrupt practices indulged in by the AAP top leader were concerned.
The two exposes have changed dramatically the Delhi's election scene, with the people, especially the youth, roundly condemning Arvind Kejeriwal and his gang and opining that the AAP would not only become a story of the past after December 4, but would also damage the electoral fortunes of the already rather unpopular Congress. Their assessment is absolutely correct. The loss of the AAP, which is a B-team of the thoroughly corrupt Congress, will surely be the gain of the BJP. Indeed, Media Sarkar has defeated the dubious game plan of the AAP whose single point agenda was to divide the anti-Congress votes and mar the poll prospects of the BJP.
The BJP is far ahead of its rivals in Delhi. All the pre-poll surveys conducted during the past six months or so have predicted number one position for the BJP. It is obvious that the contempt and hatred of the people for the discredited AAP would further motivate the anti-Congress voters to turn towards the BJP in large numbers. It would be no surprise if the BJP breaks all the previous records and wins more than 50 seats. It is not just that the educated and politically conscious middle and lower middleclass, which is totally fed up with the Congress's arrogance and misrule, would ensure the demise of the AAP. The Balmiki Samaj, which was seemingly its stronghold till the other day, will also avenge its humiliation caused by narrow-minded and arrogant Kumar Vishwas, who demonstrated his insatiable lust for easy money during the sting operation.
In fact, the community members have already lodged an FIR against Kumar Vishwas under IPC Section 295 A (deliberate and malicious act to outrage religious feelings) after holding an impressive protest demonstration outside Harsh Bazar police station in east Delhi. He had called Valmiki (a sage) a daku during a public meeting, which naturally outraged the sensitivities of the Valmiki community. Moreover, there are also reasons to believe that well-meaning persons associated with Kejriwal and AAP will desert the party sooner than later. As a matter of fact, the party's national council member Surajeet Dasgupta has started the process by quitting it, showing the way to others. He quit the party of cheaters soon after various news channels broadcasted the sting tapes. His action has been interpreted in some media circles as a 'major setback'.
The misguided supporters of Arvind Kejriwal and AAP have turned against them which is quite evident from their reactions. They condemned Kejriwal and opined that the Delhi election would turn out to be a Waterloo for the AAP and bemoaned saying they committed a grave blunder by supporting them and working for the AAP ignoring the ugly manner in which they had exploited and ditched Anna Hazare to attain prominence and misappropriated millions of Rupees donated by the people across the country to strengthen the Anna's crusade against corruption. The expose shocked them to the extent that they used very strong language against Kejriwal, Yoginder Yadav, Kumar Vishwas, Prashant Bhushan, Shazia Ilmi, Sanjay Singh and Manish Sishodia, who constitute the gang. Paradoxically, Anna Hazare has not spoken a word on the episode. Why has he maintained stoic silence? Only he can answer. However, no one had really expected that the Kejriwal and his team would adopt a more aggressive posture after the expose, but what happened was to the contrary. Instead of admitting the guilt, tendering an unconditional apology, withdrawing from the contest and disbanding the discredited AAP, they shamelessly threatened to file defamation suit against Media Sarkar and Anuranjan Jha and gave a clean chit to all the nine cheaters and bluffers. The issued the clean chit on spurious ground that Anuranjan Jha had failed to provide them the raw footage, as also on the untenable argument that the tapes were doctored. They termed the whole expose as a 'political conspiracy' hatched by the BJP and the Congress. They even threatened that they would also take their case to the Election Commission and the Press Council and seek justice from them. The shameless manner in which Arvind Kejriwal and his associates conducted themselves after the expose has further discredited them. Indeed, they have become objects of ridicule and contempt. All in all, it can be said that things are moving in right direction in Delhi, the National Capital.
