Jammu, Nov 27: Panthers Party observed 13th death anniversary of Sushila Thakur, mother of Anita Thakur, JKNPP General Secretary. Sushila Thakur, an untiring social activist was a great source inspiration to the Panthers Party movement. She gave great inspirations to the women wing of the JKNPP and inspired Anita Thakur to participate in the social activism to generate awakening among the women folk particularly in the rural areas towards the new thought and for active participation of women in the noble cause of the poor and depressed classes. Sushila Thakur married to an Army Officer, Tarlok Singh died on 27th November 13 years back. Her eldest son Samsher Singh an ex-army officer died two weeks later. Her younger daughter-in-law also died three months later. It wasnearly after one year that Dr. Tarlok Singh also expired. The Panthers Party in its tributes to Sushila Thakur conveyed sympathies and heartfelt condolences for the continues tragedies she met. Sushila Thakur is survived by her daughter Ms. Anita Thakur, two minor grandsons namely, Gaurav and Pushkin. |
