Jammu, Nov 27: Anganwadi Workers & Helpers Union today discussed its long pending demands in a meeting held under the chairmanship of State Treasurer Satvir Kour. As per press release, Anganwadi employees raised the issues of their delayed wages which are pending for the last eight months. They alleged that it has become a regular practice for not releasing their wages on time. They had to face difficulties to meet daily needs due to non-payment of their wages. They are getting wages once or twice in a year and sometimes they get salary for 4 or 5 months and for other months it remains pending, workers alleged. They further alleged that they are forced to give bribe to get release their salary. Meanwhile they highlighted their long pending demands including two uniforms, Jan Shree Bima Yojana, six months paid maternity leave, 20 days paid annual leave, TA/DA are also not implemented. |
