JAMMU, Nov 28: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages held a devotional music concert here today at K L Sehgal Hall. The prominent artists who rendered their scintillating performances in the concert include Prof Jasmeet Kour, Marina Jamwal, Nidhi Kaila, Nirbhaya Singh, Mamta Raina and Bishan Dass. The function was attended by the artists, Students, literary personalities, social and cultural activist and members of the civil society.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Secretary Cultural Academy, Savita Bakshi said that the academy is going to organize various cultural and literary activities at district level. She said two programmes comprising folk music and dance is being organized at Samba and Kathua districts respectively.Besides, the academy is also going to hold annual events like Annual Drama festival, on the spot music competition and folk dance festival at Katra. |
