| JCC castigates bureaucracy for acting as barrier between Government & Employees | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Nov 28: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of state government employees today alleged that the bureaucracy is creating impediments in fulfillment of demands by the state government. The Committee has decided to organize trade union seminar at Jammu in next month. In a press release, JCC Press Secretary, Pir Nissar said that a high level meeting of JCC was held at Jammu under the chairmanship of JCC leader Abdul Qayoom Wani. Nissar said during the meeting discussions took place with respect to anti-employee policies of bureaucracy and also some elements in the coalition government that has led to confrontation between employees and state government. "During the meeting all the JCC leaders unanimously felt that bureaucracy have always misled Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah vis-à-vis genuine demands of government employees. It was reiterated that despite barbaric acts and pressure tactics the employees will never succumb with respect to their demands," said JCC Press Secretary. Nissar said that JCC leaders stressed for implementation of agreement reached between the government and JCC and decided to make JCC stronger at grass root level. He said a state level trade union, workers and activist seminars would be held at Jammu before December 20, 2013 with the main agenda being restoration of trade union rights. The JCC Press Secretary said that during the meeting a resolution was passed in which all the leaders requested chief minister to intervene in solving the employees long pending demands so that there is an end to confrontation between the state government and the employees. |
