The installation of Statue of Sardar Banda Singh Bahadur as a mark of respect to this Great Warrior and savior of people, is the long pending demand of the people of the area. Majority of lights in Jammu city and its surroundings lie in a disfunct state. General masses face lot of problems during the night hours in movement due to darkness. Moreover non-functioning of lights encourage thefts and other social crimes beside the inconvenience to people. All the faulty High Mast lights and streets lights at flyovers , rotaries, main roads and inner approach roads must be replaced immediately. The new lights should also be installed wherever they are required. Digging of the lanes and roads in the name of laying the sewerage system is causing great inconvenience to the people but there is hardly anyone to look into the melody. There seems lack of coordination between works executing agencies and the Government departments as one is black topping the roads and others are digging it thereby causing huge loses to the Government exchequer and inconvenience to the general public. Immediate steps should be taken to improve the conditions of roads and methods should be adopted with proper planning so as to minimize the damages to the roads and other infrastructure build from the public funds. Anil Balgotra, Ankush Sharma, Abhishek Slathia, Aman Sharma, Lovekesh Gondi, Asif, Irfan Khan, Jyoti Kumar, Dushant Kumar, Varinder Thakur, Sachin Nargotra and various other people were present. |
