JAMMU, Nov 28: Establishing a new rivalry between two promising football clubs of Sainik Colony and Param Football Club (FC), the former registered a 4-3 win over latter in the entertaining replayed game of the Senior Division League of DFA Jammu at GGM Science College ground, here today. With today's win, Sainik Colony qualified for the Super League round, starting tomorrow. In the Super League opener, NGR Club shall take on Young Rovers at 3 pm at the same venue. Another team making it to the next round is Jammu United. Earlier, in today's league tie, Param FC took the first lead with Arun Nagyal netting the ball in the fourth minute. The lead was equalized by Sainik Colony through Riteshwar Singh in eighth minutes. Sainik Colony scored yet another goal to take lead in the 26th minute. Ishan Verma was the scorer this time. Again Param FC leveled the score 2-2 when Sushil netted the ball in 35th minute. Entering into the second half with 2-2, Sainik Colony scored two back to back goals in 42nd (penalty kick) and 55th minute through Ishan thereby took invincible 4-2 lead. However, Param FC could only reduce the margin with Satnam Singh scoring a goal in the 68th minute injury time. Likewise yesterday's game, the replayed match also witnessed protest from Param FC over a penalty kick awarded in favour of Sainik Colony, but this time referees took the stand and asked the teams to complete the game else face action. |
