| JKL Clerical Staff Association holds meeting | | | | Jammu, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh All department's clerical staff association today held meeting under the president ship of Babu Hussain Malik. According to press release, Association president Babu Hussain Malik said that the basic qualification for recruitment of clerk in union government is matric and 10+2 where as in JK the basic qualification is graduation with diploma in computer applications. "Moreover except civil secretariat the promotion chances of clerical cadre are very poor, in spite of highly qualified and experienced in many cases a junior assistant retires as junior assistant without even a single promotion throughout his life in spite of his hard work and honesty due to non creation of new ministerial cadre posts outside the civil secretariat. This shows how much disparity is there in the clerical cadre especially outside civil secretariat. The clerks are fighting for removal of this disparity/pay anomalies and step motherly treatment" said Malik. Malik condemn the state government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees and state government. Wherein it was promised to fulfill all pending demands of employees including removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre but nothing has been done till date and described the pay anomalies committee made by government as an eye wash just to befool the clerical cadre employees. Malik further said that the employees weak and selfish leadership had launched a week movement and issued fabricated agitation calendar of hit and run since May 27, 2012 which led to stubbornness of government attitude and present utterances of Finance Minister on the floor of house and subverting the agreement of Sept 15, 2011 and portraying their anti employees and anti workers face before all state government employees. |
