Jammu, Dec 17 : In a bizarre incident a 7 year-old boy was murdered by slitting his throat and one of the eyes was gauged out at Khandwal, Chatha in city outskirts. The deceased has been identified as Sahil Kumar alias Pinky Kumar son of Ramesh Lal of village Khandwal, Chatha. Police said that last night while playing outside his house, Sahil went missing mysteriously after electricity went off.
Later, the family members of the missing child approached the police and lodged a missing report. Today in the afternoon, some women who were going to fields noticed body of a child which was placed in the hay.
After noticing the body, they immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and called the team of Forensic Science Experts (FSL) to collect the circumstantial experts.
Sources further said that the team also recovered two buts of cigarettes from the spot which were seized later.
After collecting the circumstantial evidences, the body was shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for legal formalities. Sources further said that a board has been constituted and tomorrow the post-mortem would be conducted.
Sources further that the deceased has also injury marks at his abdomen. SP City South, Rahul Mallik said that a case in this connection has been registered and investigation to identify the accused is on. |
