Enquiry committee vindicates allegations of corruption against ZEO Bhagwah

Doda, Dec 29: The enquiry committee constituted by Chief Education Officer Doda, to enquire about the embezzlement of several Lakhs done by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Bhagwah Nazir Ahmed has vindicated the allegations. According to sources, Nazir Ahmed during his tenure as headmaster Government High School Shadiwan from 2009 to 2013 had transferred Rs 1 Lakh 40 thousands from RMSA to his personal A/c 616400 Branch PNB Doda. Besides this he had also paid Rs. 1.42000 to one Bashir Ahmed Shah who was Labour supplier for the construction of Kitchen Shed without any Voucher. To conform this, Chief Education Officer Doda had constituted an inquiry committee headed by Principal Higher Secondary School Ghat. The Committee has submitted its report where all the allegations now have becomes facts besides many other mischief's of Nazir Ahmed has been come to fore including money paid to one Mohammad Ashraf (Cook) Rs 7000, 3000 and 57177 through Cheque No. 31211971, 31211972 and 31211976 respectively. He had also withdrawn Rs 25000 on the name of headmaster through Cheque No. 31211986. When contacted Chief Education Officer Doda Mohd Ashraf Rather said, "The Enquiry Committee has submitted its final report to this office finding Nazir Ahmed (presently ZEO Bhagwah) guilty who withdrew funds under different heads through improper norms and conditions of the schemes. Hence I am going to submit this report to the Director School Education today for further action". Meanwhile AISF Chenab Valley region vice president Pankaj Sharma has demanded the dismissal of said officer within seven days.
