| Shopping Complex being raised on proposed site of Passenger Shed | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 29: A complaint that a piece of state land at Nara Kadal near CRPF camp Kulgam which is a proposed site for passenger shed for general public is being encroached by a land grabber having hand in gloves with some black sheeps of District Administration of Kulgam have been lodged with the police. Syed Shabeer, president of Muslim Development Forum giving information said that some land grabber are trying to construct a shopping complex over the said piece of land. Earlier also an attempt for raising concrete construction was made which was demolished on the directions of Asgar Samoon the then Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in the year 2011.
The residents of Kulgam further told that the old encroacher has again raised his ugly head and is trying to raise a construction on the said land which is meant for passenger shed. Syed Shabir Ahmad Shah immediately informed Div Com. Kashmir Shalinder Kumar telephonically and apprised him of the problem / encroachment over the passenger shed who ensured him that on his directions the illegal constructions has been stopped but ridiculously on confirmation it was found that the encroacher taking the benefit of holiday (Sunday) has started linter work and completed on the same day .Whereas Div.Com. Kashmir was wrongly informed by District Administration Kulgam that work has been stopped. Syed Shabir Ahmad Shah appealed Hon'ble Minister Public Works Department Jenab Abdul Majid Wani and Hon'ble Minister Urban Development Department Jenab Nawang Rigzin Jora to take a serious note of this repeated encroachment by the same encroacher and stern action against those officials who shield him. |
