Bani, Dec 29: The residents of three several Panchayats comprising Lowang North, Lowang South Chandal, Roulka, Halla, Gut and others held massive protests against the shortage of ration from the last two months and non-availability electricity in severe cold and held the local administration responsible for causing such inconvenience.
While alleging the local administration, the protestors Sarpanch of Lowang Zakir Hussain, Panch Rattan Dass, Panch Mohamad Azaad Bhat and Panchayat Secretary Shadi Lal said that ration shortage and absence of electricity in these areas has put the life of people so miserable and forced them to face the multiple hardships and loss also.
The ration of the October month is totally was missed and not to given the registered consumers other side the lack of electricity which is also a major problem and dragged the entire area in blackout such high level insensitivity of the PDD and CAPD along with local administration in not tolerable, the people would ready to answer with a tehsil wide agitation.
They said. Moreover they demanded that electricity is out of order from the last two months and shortage of the ration should be given to the area and perticular it is urged to the district administration that to provide the ration as per the pattern of Doda, Poonch and other hilly areas by increasing the scale so that need of the area could be addressed.
