| Painting, sculpture, photography camp concluded | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 29: As part of national integration camp organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, an art camp of painting, sculpture and photography was organized during Jammu festival organized by Tourism Department. According to press release around one hundred forty young artist upto the age of 35 years participated in professional and Non- Professional category of these events conducted at Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Jammu for three days. Feroz Ahmed Khan, Minister of State with independent charge of Science & Information Technology and Minister of State, Youth Services, Sports & Education was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The Camp was organized under the over-all supervision of Sh. Nabin Kumar Naik, Director, Yuva Kendra, Jammu. The Chief Guest appreciated the role of youth for promoting culture by participating in such activities and camps. While giving the details of these events, convener of these events, OP Sharma, an eminent painter and Photo journalist of the state told that the aim of conducting such events was to bring the youth closure to the art and heritage of the state and promote the sense of National Integration among them. Painting section professional category: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes were declared for Suneel Dutt, Subina Gul and Sahil Ohri respectively. Consolation prizes were declared in favour of Shakti Kumari, Bandana Sharma, Kanchan Billowria, Dr. Harpreet Kaur and Amrit Kaur. In Non-Professional category the followings are the achievers: Hemant Magotra, Shiveta Pandit and Meenakshi as 1st , 2nd and 3rd Prize holders respectively. The Consolation Prizes were declared for Muzafar Ahmed, Anandita Bharti, Raman Deep Singh, Sudansh Sharma and Momd Abbas. Special certificates of Merit were also declared for Tanu Sharma, Parveen and Rohit Sharma. Sculpture Section- professional category Kaneesh Panotra, Swantanter Bharat and Mansvi Gupta secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes respectively. Consolation Prizes were declared for Chemat Dorjey, Pankaj Kumar and Ashima. In the Non- Professional Category the followings secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes respectively - Rashmi Mohanta, Deepak Sharma and Neeraj Kumar and consolation Prize was declared for Prashant.
In Photography Section, the followings were declared winners: Ankush Kesar, Farooq Ahmed and Sachin Sharma as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Position holders respectively. Consolation prizes were announced in favour of Sumit Sharma, Neeraj Sharma, Sourabh Vaid, Akash Sachan and Priya Sharma. The jury for these competitions consisted of Painting section, Jang S Verman, OP Sharma and Subhash Sharma, Sculpture Section Jasleen Singh, Naseem Shora and OP Sharma, Photography section B D Sharma, Anil Saraf and OP Sharma. The awards giving function will be organized in the very near future were the exhibition of the works created in this camp will be put on display for public viewership. |
