ITI, PNB organize Financial Inclusion, Literacy campaign

Kathua, Dec 29: One day Financial Inclusion and Literacy campaign was organised at Industrial Training Institute, Kathua by National Bank For Agriculture & Rural Development to sensitize and create awareness among ITI students about Financial Literacy and Inclusion programme. The main participants were Aman Kalsotra, DDM, NABARD, Kathua, R K Kalsotra, Lead Bank Officer, Kathua, Kapileshwar Dogra, Assistant Vice-President, Kathua, Naresh Singh, Superintendent, ITI, Kathua, instructors and student of ITI, Kathua.
Kapileshwar Dogra, Assistant Vice-President, J&K Bank interacted with the students. He informed them about the initiatives undertaken under financial inclusion by J&K Bank and asked all the members to open no-frill accounts to their advantage. He asked the students to open their bank accounts. He also asked them to avail DRI loan available @4% for increasing their social standard. He explained about JKSES and PMEGP scheme of the Government for budding entrepreneur. He assured that those who want to take up economic activity & are in need of loan, will be provided credit facility by J&K Bank.
On this occasion, DDM, NABARD informed them about the initiatives undertaken under financial inclusion by NABARD. Explaining the objective of Financial Inclusion which is to mop up micro-deposits, to provide affordable credit, to provide micro-insurance covering not only life & death; but also crops, assets & accidents, to provide safe money transfers, to provide financial advise & counseling and to provide add-on services (like agri-portal). He explained them how to identify fake notes and the importance of credit in development, with special emphasis on education loan and employment generation schemes of State / Central Govt. He asked all the students to open account with the bank in their area and take benefits from banks by keeping small deposits, availing DRI, micro-insurance etc. A quiz completion was held on the occasion and prizes were distributed on the occasion. R K Kalsotra, LBO, Kathua interacted with the students. He informed them about the initiatives undertaken under financial inclusion by different bank and asked all the students to open no-frill accounts to their advantage. Naresh Singh, Superintendent, ITI, Kathua appreciated the financial literacy camp organised by NABARD. He asked the students to adopt new technology, learn and adopt new skills for self-development. He informed the students about the importance of banks and how they can develop by availing credit. He informed that the jobs are getting less and it's the entrepreneurial abilities which will get youth forward.
