| NSS unit of GDC Kathua organises lecturers on First Aid | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 29: The NSS unit of government degree college Kathua organized lectures on first aid and youth and its social responsibilities at the village Chack Ram Chand (Griba Chack) as a part of series of activities during the ongoing seven days special NSS camp. The lecture on first aid was delivered by Kartar Verma, Community Health Officer district Kathua, who enlightened NSS volunteers and the villagers about the need of sanitation and also educated them about the preventive measures of different diseases. He also told them the detail of various schemes and programmes of Health department. Another lecture on "Youth and its social responsibilities" was delivered by Dr. Jogvinder Singh Sudan, Junior Scientific officer, Sports Authority of India. He made aware the volunteers about their role in society and nation building. He also shared his experiences of NSS with the volunteers. About 150 villagers and 100 NSS volunteers witnessed the function. The programme was organised under the overall supervision of NSS Programme Officers Prof.Raj Kiran, Dr. Suram Singh and Dr. Ram Singh Sambyal. |
