Channi Himmat residents celebrate Lohri in local park

Jammu, Jan 14: The residents of sector 5 Channi Himmat celebrated Lohri festival at community level by organizing a function inside local park demonstrating the will and grit to bolster 'nation first' spirit.
According to press release, the women, men and children of all ages bustling with enthusiasm, gathered in the park and celebrated the festival.
Sant Paul Shastri, retired Principal, SRML Higher Secondary School Jammu dwelled at festival background, highlighted its seasonal and religious connectivity, before the actual lighting of fire.
Appreciating this community level celebration as a unique but essential feature, he stressed on other residential localities to draw a lesson. The 'dhol' beat played in the background all through enchanted far and wide even those who couldn't make it for domestic compulsions.
