Jammu, Jan 14: Jammu and Kashmir Kaith Welfare Society today organised an impressive religious function at Sankridevsthan in Langotian. The function was graced by the distinguished members of the Kaith Biradari hailing from different parts inside and outside the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The function, as per the press statement was enthusiastically celebrated by performing puja, havan and singing hymns in praise of Sankri Devta.
Elaborating the historical events, R.L. Kaith said that Sankri Dev was a king of Kainthgali (in Udhampur) during the early fourteenth century.
Also speaking, Dr Rmesh Kumar Kaith said though the Kaith Biradari members got scattered and started inhabiting in various States, yet today there is a huge fascination in between them and their hearts still beat for each other. |
