Jammu, Feb 18: Sixteen persons including a minor reportedly received burn injuries when a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder exploded during a marriage ceremony at a village in RS Pura, this evening. Police sources said that the incident took place when a marriage function was held a village in R S Pura. "During function a LPG cylinder suddenly exploded after leakage resulting burn injuries to the sixteen persons including a minor", police sources said and added, "all the injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospital and after preliminary treatment doctors referred two critically injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) for advance treatment. Police said, "injured referred to GMC&H Jammu, have been identified as Sashi Kumari (25) wife of Jaspal and Vishali (7) daughter of Romesh Lal both residents of Abdullian in RS Pura. Police have taken cognizance of the matter and has registered a case in this regard. |
