Jammu, Feb18; In a glaring example of administrative inertia, 3532 developmental have been executed in the state without administrative approval during last five years with 748 works costing 89942 lacs in Jammu district while 308 works worth 63208 lacs have been executed in Srinagar during the same period. In written reply to a question tabled by M Y Tarigami, Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani Tuesday admitted that that works worth crores of rupees have been executed in the state during last five years without administrative approval. While giving details of the number of works with cost and expenditure incurred on the works district wise, Wani said 748 works of the cost of 89942 lacs have been executed in Jammu division and expenditure incurred on these work till date stands at Rs. 35662.92 lacs. Wani said in Samba district 77 such works have been executed with the cost of 4855.83 lacs and expenditure incurred on them so for is Rs. 2023.40 lacs. Similarly in Kathua district 143 works have been executed without administrative approval at a cost of 26300.77 lacs and expenditure incurred on them so for is Rs. 3339.85 lacs. In the same manner 46 works to the tune of Rs. 24265.54 lacs have been executed in Udhampur district and expenditure incurred on them so for is 2245.40 lacs. In Reasi district 75 works have been executed illegally at an estimated cost of Rs. 23557.34 lacs with a total expenditure of 4463.73 lacs. Likewise in Rajouri district 172 works have been executed without following the codal procedure at a cost of Rs. 52575.62 lacs and expenditure incurred on them is Rs. 4844.84 lacs. In Poonch district 211 works have been executed illegally at a cost of 66683.35 lacs and expenditure incurred on these works is Rs. 4537.89 lacs. Wani said in Doda district 64 works have been executed illegally during last five years at an estimated cost of 25351.29 lacs and expenditure incurred on thse works so for is Rs. 2886.61 lacs. He said in Ramban district 33 works have been executed without following codal procedure at an estimated cost of Rs. 17934.57 lacs and expenditure incurred on these works so for is Rs. 2488.87 lacs. In Kishtwar district, 86 works have been executed without administrative approval during last five years at an estimated cost of Rs. 50354.03 lacs and Rs. 5339.53 have been spent on these works so for. Similarly in Kashmir division, 308 works worth 63208.26 in Srinagar district, 207 works @ 43802.49 in Budgam district, 83 in Ganderbal @ 19340.49 lacs, 97 in Bandipora district @ Rs. 21250.34 lacs, Baramulla-311 works @54720.93 lacs, Kupwara-236 @ Rs. 37415.37 lacs, Anantnag-274 @55751.19 lacs, Kulgam-125 @ 29089.32 lacs, Pulwama-123 @ 37115.36 lacs and Shopian-81 @ 30189 lacs. |
