Jammu, Feb 18 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by one Ranbir Singh Manhas regarding functioning of old Sub Divisional Hospital Bhaderwah, Division Bench of State High Court Jammu wing directed Block Medical Officer (BMO) Bhaderwah to ensure that emergency services even after 4 p.m remains available to the citizens at Old SDH Bhaderwah.
Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Adv RS Kotwal appearing for the PIL whereas Deputy AG Mrs Neeru Goswami appearing for the state directed Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah to ensure that emergency services even after 4 p.m remains available to the citizens at Old SDH Bhaderwah.
When this PIL taken-up for hearing Deputy AG Neeru Goswami has shown a copy of the letter sent by the Block Medical Officer, Bhaderwah stating that as per the instructions received from the District Development Commissioner Bhaderwah, the Old SDH has been made functional from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. is an interim arrangement. However, Division Bench felt that emergency services around the clock should also be made available for better patient care and directed Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah is to ensure that emergency services even after 4 p.m remains available to the citizens at Old SDH Bhaderwah. |
