Jammu, Feb 18 (JNF): In a contempt petition filed by M/S Yvelise Scientific Detergents against Shant Manu the then Commissioner/Secretary J&K Govt Industries and Commerce (at present Divisional Commissioner Jammu) for not implementing the judgment of Court dtd Nov 20, 2012, High Court issued a show cause notice to contemnor at his present official address and sought clarification in this regard on next hearing on March 17.
Justice Janak Raj Kotwal of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing petitioner in person whereas Senior AAG Gagan Basotra for the state observed that a clear prima-facie case of non compliance of the judgment dated November 20, 2012 rendered by this Court in owp 1547/2010 and thereby contempt of court is, thus made out against respondent Shant Manu IAS the then Commissioner/Secretary J&K Govt Industries and Commerce Dept and further observed that appropriate action against contemnor therefore, is required to be taken by framing rule against him why he is not punished for committing contempt of court and directed Registry to frame the rule and issue show cause notice to contemnor at his present official address, to be provided by the petitioner and list this contempt on March 17, 2014. |
