Early Times Report Jammu/jallandhar, Feb 25 : S Tejinder Singh Advocate, a founder member of J&K Democratic Party Nationalist, who is on Pad Yatra (Foot march) since 13 February 2014 from Jammu to Delhi with a mission to seek disciplinary action by the Congress against Minister for agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir, today reached Jullundur after covering about 250 Km in 12 days. On his way S Tejinder Singh Advocate addressed way side meetings at Samba, Kathua, Pathankote, Mukariya, Dasua, Tanda and made people aware of his mission to undertake Pad Yatra from Jammu to Delhi. Addressing a media conference here today, S Tejinder Singh, who has since resigned from J&K Democratic Party Nationalist, spelled about his mission. "I want to convey to the country as a whole about the strong commitment by the people of J&K towards Indian democracy and the democratic institutions in the country and second objective of foot march is to convey to the people at large in the country how some unscrupulous and dishonest Politicians are acting in a way, which erodes people's faith in the democratic institutions, he said. Citing the case of Minister of Agriculture in J&K government Gulam Hassan Mir, who is alleged to have received a huge sum of Rs 1.19 Crores from a secret fund of Indian Army, he said he will be submitting a memorandum highlighting the dangerous portents of G H Mir's conduct, requesting for action to be taken against him. Since Mr Mir is an associated member of Congress, he is liable to disciplinary action by the Congress party. S Tejinder Singh, has also announced his resolve to fight elections to the state assembly against G H Mir from his Tangmarg constituency and expose him on these counts. |
