| BJP, JKNPP, Congress MLAs stage walk-out from J&K Assembly | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 3 : Bhartiya Janata Party, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party and Congress legislators today staged walk-out of the Legislative Assembly over the issues of daily wagers and distribution of solar lights. Led by BJP MLA Ashok Khajuria and JKNPP MLA Harsh Dev Singh, the members raised the issue of daily wagers and causal labourers in the Legislative Assembly. The members disrupted the proceedings and said that they (daily wagers) are protesting on the roads but no consideration is being paid to their issues. Amid ruckus, the members demanded regularization of the daily wagers and casual labourers. Shouting slogans, they later staged walk-out. Meanwhile Congress MLA from Inderwal Constituency, G M Saroori alleged discrimination over distribution of solar lights. He said that no solar light has been allotted to his constituency while the government is neglecting his constituency on many other matters. |
