Good Beginning: BJP starts process to crush forces like RSS, VHP, ABVP Denying mandate of Nirmal Singh is first step in this direction 3/3/2014 11:16:21 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 3: What Atal Behari Vajpayee cannot do in his whole political career, the present BJP leadership has done because process to get the BJP rid from the yoke of groups like RSS, VHP and ABVP has successfully started. Out-rightly rejecting choices of these organisations, the BJP leadership has given mandate to Dr Jatindra Singh from Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary seat. Giving mandate to Dr Jatinder Singh, the most articulated and charming leader, the BJP leadership has successfully kicked start the process of crushing forces like RSS, VHP and ABVP so that a new secular colour should be given to the BJP to get as many as Muslim votes in Jammu and Kashmir. Mandate to Dr Jatindra Singh is good beginning and BJP leadership was anxiously waiting for a personality in Jammu and Kashmir to whom the party would project as leader in this State to strengthen base among Muslims. Credible sources said that RSS, VHP and ABVP had projected name of Dr Nirmal Singh for Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary seat. These organisations had even made it clear to BJP leadership that they would not tolerate any other candidate except Dr Nirmal Singh, who is a hardcore RSS activist. Instead of giving important to the RSS choice, the BJP leadership picked up a secular face to give a message to the organisations that gone are the days when they dictate their terms of BJP. Credible sources further said that it was all due to the secular credentials and personality of Dr Jatindra Singh that BJP leadership has decided to project him as real face of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir to cut all those leaders to size who have RSS background. BJP high command, sources said, has asked Dr Jatindra Singh to gradually sideline elements in the party and give a new fresh and secular look to Jammu and Kashmir BJP. Credible sources said that state incharge of BJP Avinash Rai Khanna, who has broad vision and is a known crusader of protecting human rights, is also playing important role in giving new look to the J&K unit of BJP so that this party would get rid of groups like RSS, VHP and ABVP. Although some BJP workers are trying to give an impression that there is strong resentment against denying mandate to Dr Nirmal Singh, reality is that only those elements have been trying to give an impression who want continuation of their control over the party.
