Jammu, Mar 3: National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged protest demonstration against Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Umang Narula and demanded the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to forward the case of Election Assistant to State Vigilance Organization (SVO). Addressing gathering, here today, NSF President Sukhdev Singh said that it was very astounding to notice that no First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged by administration on the complaint of EA Parveen Akhtar, who had leveled very serious allegations against the ADC, AC (G) Jammu and MLA Indu Pawar. He further said that as per complaint of Parveena Akhtar, Shahnaz Choudhary (ACG) had given a complete blank cheques book, got sealed and signed by Tehsildar Jammu and had directed Parveena, to draw huge amount of money through her personal account for handing over the same to Shahnaz Choudhary. "As EA had refused to do such an illegal transaction in respect of public money, the said officers, MLA had started harassing Parveena Akhtar, which is very serious crime and it needs a through inquiry, by State Vigilance Organization (SVO)", Singh said. "The DC tried to silence the honest voice by suspending Parveen Akhtar. She had complained that ADC Kalyan Singh, MLA Indu Pawar and Shahnaz Choudhary AC (G) had compelled her to work for tainted former Health Minister Shabir Khan in Rajouri area", he said, adding that it was very unfortunate that instead of taking action, a whistleblower was silence by dragging her into a frivolous case.
