Madan holds meetings, appeals to vote Congress

Jammu, Mar 28: Continuing his campaign, Congress candidate for Jammu-Poonch constituency Madan Lal Sharma held a series of public meetings at Khatikian Talab, Kanji House, Hari Market, City Palace Kachi Chawani, Baby Caters Rehari, Trikuta Nagar.
A large number of prominent social and political activists joined Congress Party on the occasion. Sharma welcomed the new entrance and assured that he will continue his struggle for the development and prosperity of the area of his constituency. He appealed all to support him by pressing hand button on EVMs on 10th April.
He cautioned people of the divisive and communal policies of BJP and PDP and hoped that Congress-NC coalition will win all the six seats in the State. Maintaining that MP said that Central and State Government have devised and implemented schemes for Urban poor by way of providing them shelter under RGAY and health cover and check up under National Urban Health mission. Apart from this the Government is constructing a flyover on Bikram Chowk for easing traffic and congestion.
He said that many parks and public toilets in the shape of Slub Shochalay etc were constructed in various nooks and corners of city. Under the present Regime Municipal corporation has devised many programmes for the beautification of Jammu. Sharma said that UPA Government has passed the street Vendors protection bill which is applicable for protecting the rights of self employed youths and vendors. He said that ensuing elections are being fought by both the alliance partners, Congress and National Conference, the MP said that this will auger well for the State and further strengthen the bonds of secularism.
