Vows to fight terrorism with iron hands Early Times Report Vijaypur, Mar 28: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today accused Pakistan of unleashing subversive activities to disturb peace here in Jammu and Kashmir. While strongly condemning today's terrorists' attack in Kathua district during which, two civilian got killed while three others received bullet injuries, Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said that "Pakistan has every now and then attempted to derail the democratic process here in Jammu and Kashmir. Whenever there are announcement of elections, Pakistan activates its ISI and tries to execute violence by targeting innocent persons." Immediately after getting information about terrorist attack, Ghulam Nabi Azad inquired about details of the incidents and decided to return to Jammu. Though he had some important meetings at New Delhi pertaining to ongoing elections, but he decided to reach Jammu and meet the family members. Before boarding the flight, he offered his condolences to the bereaved family members over a telephonic communique. After landing at Jammu Airport, Azad straight away drove to cremation ground at Vijaypur on the banks of River Devak, where a huge gathering was present to participate in the funeral. He met the wailing family members and also prayed for peace for the departed soul. Azad also inquired about the other family members of the deceased Amarjeet Kumar and assured all possible help to kith and kin of deceased. While strongly reacting to the terrorist attack, Azad termed it as an inhuman act by Pakistan. He said, "Pakistan does not know what is democracy? There is no democracy in Pakistan. There is just dictatorship. In past also, Pakistan had made numerous attempts to unleash reign of terror in Jammu and Kashmir especially when the democratic process is on." Azad said we will fight terrorism with iron hands and will not allow Pakistan to fulfill its nefarious designs. He said, "I have also been targeted by terrorists. But even then, I ensure, Pakistan is unable to achieve success in its nefarious designs." Later, Azad visited GMC&H, Jammu and interacted with the injured persons who were admitted for treatment. He sought details of the incident and assured them of all help to shift them out of the state for advance treatment, in case, needed.
