Enjoy patronage of Cabinet Minister, MoS Home

Jammu, Mar 28: The BJP has lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) against two SHOs in Jammu district for using their influence to over stay on their present postings.
It has been alleged that both the police officers have been enjoying patronage of top class politicians including a Cabinet Minister and MoS Home. These officers including Inspector Chancal Singh and Inspector Vijay Choudhary.
As per complaint's reference number 23/78/2008/BJP dated 24/3/2014, the SHO Trikuta Nagar namely Chanchal Singh is actively participating and canvassing people to vote for a particular party. It reads as , " Complaint against SHO Trikuta Nagar, regarding continuation as SHO despite transfer, aimed at giving undue benefit to a particular political party during general elections 2014".
In the complaint it is stated that SHO Trikuta Nagar is a blue eyed person of a cabinet minister and MoS Home as despite of the order of his transfer to CID wing vide order No 476 of 2014 by DG Police, yet due to the some unknown reasons and under influence of politicians, has not been relieved, despite the fact that the Mode Code of Conduct came into force w.e.f 5th March, 2014, which clearly indicates that there was sufficient time for the MCC to have the officer relieved, but due to ulterior motives particularly aid at large scale rigging in the General Parliamentary Elections 2014, he has been allowed to continue there.
Further it is stated that as per the transfer policy issued by the Director General of Police, a police officer can stay at an executive wing for a period exceeding 4 years, whereas, the said Chanchal Singh has managed to hold over Jammu region for the last more than 12 years. He is in Jammu zone of the executive wing since 2000-08 and from 2009 till date which is quite unusual besides against transfer policy.
Meanwhile the CEO has forwarded the complaint copy to the police chief to take immediate step in this connection.
