| JTC appeals Azad to visit Jagti | | | | Jammu, Mar 28: Jagti Tenement Committee, Soan Kashmir Front and Displaced Hindu Youth Front under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita President Jagti Tenement Committee appealed the Congress leaders, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Saif-ud-Din Soz and Madan Lal Sharma to have a visit of Jagti Migrant Camp to assess the situations under which the migrants are putting up. During the press conference Shadi Lal Pandita said that people are facing acute shortage of power supplies due to prolonged power curtailments besides lack of other basic amenities in this migrant camp. He said that we are hopeful that after ascertaining the conditions under which the migrant community is putting up in Jagti Migrant Camp you will be kind enough to get proper power supplies restored to this migrant camp for best interests of the inmates so that the problems being faced by this community are redressed. He appealed to the CM, Omar Abdullah for coming a step forward to mitigate the sufferings of this migrant community and this community assures your goodself that the community will come ten steps to you. The funds being provided under security head for infrastructure facilities and civic action programme are required to be utilized for meeting the power expenses of this migrant camp as the inmates of this migrant camp are unable to afford these expenses out of the meagre relief assistance. Shadi Lal Pandita has said that the Kashmiri Migrant Community was shocked when BJP opposed passing of temples and shrines bill in the State Legislative Assembly. |
