Jammu, Mar 28: Expressing full solidarity with paramedical students, National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged protest demonstration against Health Minister Taj Mohi-ud-din, holding him responsible for problems of paramedical student. Raising slogans against Health Minister Taj Mohi-ud-din, the NSF activists staged demonstration in campus and blocked the University Road for some time and demanded rechecking of answer sheets of paramedical students besides publication of result in gazette. Speaking on the occasion, NSF President Sukhdev Singh alleged that paramedical students were penalized by the authorities, due to some unknown reasons. "It is very surprising and sound bizarre that around 16 thousand paramedical students are pursing various courses across Jammu province. The date of exams were cancelled and rescheduled by the administration and finally, when the exams were held, out of 16 thousand students, only one thousands were declared as qualified", he said. Sukhdev Singh further said that the GMC administration has declared the result of paramedical course only on its website. "Moreover the marks obtained by the students are also not shown and students are declared as fail or pass, which is in violation of set norms", he said. Among those who were present in the protest included, JB Singh, Javed, Azaj Shah, Papinder Singh, Vikram, Rishikesh Rana, Washim, and others. |
