Srinagar, Mar 28 : Clashes broke out at several places of North Kashmir after Friday prayers that injured several persons including a senior police officer. According to the reports received byKNS, youth in groups took out to streets and started hurling stones on security deployments at various areas including Khanpora and Palhallan area. The protesters took to streets and started blocking the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway. The youth assembled in groups and stared raising slogans. The situation turned violent when the forces tried to foil the protest march. The police had to fire several tear gas shells to disperse the angry mob. The youth resorted to stone pelting in which a senior police officer and a constable were injured.
