Without naming, Mayawati raises Giri's 'fake encounter' episode | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 1: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati without naming the victim of an alleged fake encounter near Satyam Resorts in Dec 2010 that resulted in killing of a Dalit named Rakesh Kumar, alias Giri expressed her disappointment over the police and Government atrocities on the minority category in the state saying that administration is making them as the soft targets. "Dalits, SCs STs and OBCs are being made soft targets in Jammu and Kashmir by the present dispensation as they are being tortured and atrocities committed upon them despite none of their faults," said Mayawati adding that she has been receiving information that Dalits in Jammu and Kashmir are being marginalized by engaging them in various criminal incidents, towards which they have no connection. "No police station admits their complaints of torture and ill-treatment from various quarters and instead they're roped in by the agencies and are forcefully made to admit the crime which have never committed," said Mayawati. The BSP supremo while blaming her own people to have fallen into a political trap of the state said the wrong choice of Government has put them into such position. "Our party assures that once coming into the power, BSP would change the political scenario of the nation as well as the state and issues that are being falsely implicated against the Dalits would be set straight," said BSP supremo while addressing the general public. |
