AAP candidate undresses in protest | Returning office marred by favouritism | | Saahil Suhail Anantnag, Apr 1: Favoritism in the office of Returning officer Anantnag got exposed brazenly when Aam Aadmi Party Candidate, forced to wait till the PDP candidate completed her documents and managed to open a bank account for election expenditure inside the office returning officer; undressed in protest. Irritated by the favoritism, AAP Candidate undressed himself and alleged that election authorities of the Anantnag parliamentary constituency were favoring high profile candidates and putting others at inconvenience. "From Kokernag to this office I'm fallowing model code of conduct but what about these high profile candidates. Police stopped my vehicles 2 kilometers from this office but what about others. Aren't we humans?" AAP Candidate Dr Tanveer Maqbool Dar told media men inside the office of Returning officer taking off his clothes and entering into heated arguments with a person who was trying to stop his entry into the premises of DC Office Anantnag. Reports said that it took hours together for PDP candidate Mehbooba Mufti to complete her documents as she had not opened the bank account according to norms which Election expenditure observer D K Roy had conveyed to all representatives of political parties in daylong conveyed meeting. According to norms only four persons excluding candidate while allowed to get inside the office of retuning office, however contrary to this over 11 people of people's Democratic Party were allowed to get inside with party candidate at the time of filling nomination papers. In the mean time election authorities also allowed selective media person to cover the filing of nomination resulting in forceful protest demonstration against the authorities outside the office by over dozen journalists working with national as well as with local dailies.
