JAMMU, Apr 1: Once again the discrimination in selection for Government jobs has come to fore, as out of the list of 20 candidates selected for the post of Excise Inspector, only 6 candidates are from Jammu region, while rest are from Kashmir province.
According to the list finalized by recruitment agency, Service Selection Board and which is published in various newspaper dailies of state, a total of 20 candidates were selected for the post of Inspector (State Cadre) J&K Excise and Commercial Taxes (Subordinate) Services, under Government order number 97-F of 2014, dated 31-03-2014, 14 selected candidates are from Kashmir province and remaining are from Jammu.
The six selected candidates of Jammu province are Sushil Khajuria, resident of Jandrah, district Jammu, Raman Kumar Chalotra resident of village Smailpur, district Samba, Sanjeev Singh Sen resident of H.No. 198, Sector-4 Roop Nagar, Jammu, Shehzad Ahmed Azad resident of village Dhargloon, tehsil Mendhar, Poonch, Aamir Choudhary C/o Dilmar Ahmad D-6 Company Bagh Government quarters, Jewel Jammu and Ranjishwar Sayal resident of ward number 9 near water tank district Rajouri.
The posts are of State Cadre, which were forwarded by the Finance department while the Service Selection Board had made the recruitments. "It is clear cut case of discrimination with Jammu region and the Service Selection Board authorities are responsible for such discrimination", an official said, adding that the discrimination in Government employment should be reduced, to wedge the increasing rift between two regions", said senior functionary in Excise Department seeking anonymity.
Moreover, 14 selected candidates from Kashmir province are Zeeshan Nazir resident of Lane-2 Umer Colony B Lal Bazar, Srinagar, Moha-mmad Azhar Suharwardi resident of Suharwardi Villa, Sikandarpora, Rainawari, Srinagar, Mahmood Ul Hassan Rather resident of Lalgam Tral, Chandrigam Pulwama, Amir Aman resident of Housing Colony Chanapora, Srinagar Sector-4, Showket Ahmad Bhat resident of Mohalla Mooradabad, Gamraz Road, tehsil Tral district Pulwama, Umer Hameed Vaid resident of New Colony Bijbehara, Anantnag, Asif Rasool Bhat resident of 72 Extension Raj Bagh, Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Mir resident of Kurhama Lar Ganderbal, Feroz Ahmad Lone resident of Huroo district Budgam, Mudasir Ahmad Bhat resident of Palapora, Noorbagh, Srinagar, Manzoor Ahmad Wani resident of Kathsu post office Kathsu via Sri Gufwara district Anantnag, Mohammad Hanif Lone residentof Sheikhwanipora Boniyar, Baramulla, Monisah resident of Gogjipathri Chandoora Budgam and Ajaz Ahmad Teli resident of Lar Ganderbal. |
