Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 1: BJP today filed formal complaint against Minister for Social Welfare Minister Sakina Itoo, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) J&K Umang Narulla seeking appropriate action against the minister for using religious sentiments to lure voter to secure vote in favour of National Conference adding that it is a clear violation of Code of Conduct. According to spokesperson, a delegation of BJP leaders called on Umang Narulla, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) J&K and handed over the formal complaint. Delegation comprising BJP State Vice President Ramesh Arora (Adv), Senior Leader Chander Mohan Sharma (Adv) and State Spokesperson Dr Nirmal Kamal sought immediate action on the complaint and also discussed various election related issues and further raised the issue of voter ID cards yet have not been issued. Interacting with CEO J&K, Ramesh Arora, Prabhari Kashmir BJP, demanded setting up of more Polling Booths for migrants in Jammu and outside the state and also demanded that polling process for migrants be simplified so that every registered voter can cast voter easily. Chief Electoral Officer assured the matter will be taken up with higher authorities. |
