Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 1: After the improvement in weather, the authorities on Tuesday allowed light passenger vehicles to ply from both the sides on Srinagar-Jammu highway, official sources said. The Highway is the only road linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the world. Historical Mughal Road is another option but it is yet to be completed. Official sources said that heavy vehicles will continue to ply one-way till further orders. They added that only light passenger vehicles are allowed to ply from summer capital, Srinagar and winter capital Jammu from Tuesday. This is for the first time when vehicles will ply from both sides on the highway since December last year.
