Jammu, Apr 1: With the arrest of a miscreant along with a sharp-edged weapon and a Baseball bat, Gadi Garh Police today claimed to have averted a murder plot.
The arrested has been identified as Gulzar Ahmed of Fattu Kotli Garkhal Akhnoor, police sources said.
"On specific information party led by Sub Inspector (SI) Khyaati Maan Khajuria, In-charge police post Gaadi Garh, SHO Satwari Surinder Singh Baloria under the supervision of SP South Rahul Mallik and SDPO Gandhinagar, raised a naka and intercepted a Scorpio bearing registration number JK14A-1301, police sources said while adding, "during checking police recovered a sharp-edged weapon (khokri) and a Baseball Bat from the car.'
Sources said that accused was arrested on spot while sharp-edged weapon, Baseball bat and vehicle have been seized by the police.
Police sources further said that a case in this connection has been registered and further investigation is on. |
