Appeals to intensify campaign for Madan Lal Sharma

Vijaypur, Apr 1: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today appealed party workers in his constituency to intensify campaign in favour of Madan Lal Sharma, who is parliamentary seat candidate of the Congress party of Jammu-Poonch. Singh took monthly meeting of large number of Congress workers in Vijaypur assembly constituency where he listens to various local issues. Speaking on the occasion, former Minister said that the party should aggressively launch campaign in support of Madan Lal Sharma, who is a coalition candidate from Jammu-Poonch parliamentary seat for his victory. He, while appealing people to give their votes in favour of Madan Lal, said they should remain alert from the divisive forces which are active these days in the society who are bent on creation disturbance among the people belonging to different faints. He further said that the people should strengthen the hands of secular forces, while highlighting the works done by Madan Lal Sharma as MP of the area.It was due to efforts of Madan Lal Sharma that railway authorities agreed to make Vijaypur railway station as stop for Tata Mori train which has helped pilgrims and soldiers a lot and people should always keep in mind those who have worked among them. The Congress leader said that the issues of ex-service man, border people and refugee's issues were raised by Madan Lal various times in Parliament due to which the Union Government had agreed to pay compensation to the refugees/displaced persons of Jammu division. The meeting was attended by Babbal Gupta Vice present Samba, Sarpanch Sukjinder Singh Polla, Sarpanch Sham Lal Bhagat, Sarpanch Ntha Ram, Sarpanch Brij Paul Goggi, N.sarpanch Sujan Singh, Senior Congress Leader Col. Swaran Singh, Karam Chand, Capt. Harnam Singh, Joginder Ch, Rikhi Singh, Shamsher Singh, Verinder Sharma, Balwant Singh Nagra, Gurcharan Singh, Ch. Bishan, Principal Kuldeep Bhagat, Sai Dass, Ghar Singh, DR. BS Choudhary, IYC Leader Pankaj Mohan and Vinod Singh.
