| CEO Rajouri constitutes committee to implement SRO-123 | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 1: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has constituted a committee comprising of various officials of district which will discuss and decide how to implement the provision of SRO-123 related to fee structures of the private institutions. For the last several months parents, social organisations and prominent citizens were complaining about the overcharging of fees by these institutions in the name of admission fee/annual fee. As per letter No CEOR/Gen/2013-214/51953-72 dtd 29/3/14, issued from CEO office Rajouri, the said official has also directed the heads/principals of all the private institutions falling in Rajouri district, that admission fee/annual fee shall be charged only once i.e upon first enrollment of the child/student. It also stated besides this the institutions have to take the parents associations into confidence while taking important decisions like fee hike or infrastructure development and pupil teacher ratio in the schools should be in ratio of 30:1. School authorities have been directed to notify the general information and fee structure well before the commencing of each academic session and bus fare for students must be approved/authenticated by the district transport authority. No mid-session fee hike will be allowed and fee structures must be approved by the competent authority, order underlined. When contacted Ch Lal Hussian Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri said that a deputation of principals/owners of the institutions today met with him to discuss several issues as mentioned in the circular. "It has been decided to hold another rounds of talks so that every issue/concern regarding fee structure could be discussed" said CEO Rajouri. |
