NPSU alleges nepotism in appointments of CU, demands inquiry

Jammu, May 19 : Castigating the wave of nepotism and favoritism being adopted by Central University Jammu in the appointments of the various non-teaching posts, National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) under the leadership of NPSU state president Pratap Singh Jamwal Monday demanded independent inquiry into the selection.
Addressing the media persons, Partap Singh Jamwal Lambasted the administration of Central University of Jammu and alleged them of playing with the career of meritorious candidates.
He also alleged University authorities of reserving these posts for some influential and known of the varsity authorities depriving the deserving candidates of the jobs. Taking dig at the vice chancellor, Dr. S.S. Bloeria for adjusting his own relatives, Pratap Singh said that to encourage the NC-Congress influenced lobby into the academics and higher education, relatives and known person of vice chancellor as well as politically influenced candidates were appointed by the university, outdoing meritorious students. He said Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu, Dr Bloeria to appease political bosses in National Conference and Congress managed to appoint all blue-eyed candidates.
The aspiring candidates were kept in dilemma from the very start, they were unaware with the criteria of selection. "We have cases wherein candidate applying for certain post had qualification mush higher than the needed, experience much more than asked and had secured more than 60 points in written examinations, but unfortunately he was not in the final list," said Pratap. He added that some inputs from University sources shared that seats were already reserved for the relatives of vice chancellor and other panelists.
Demanding investigation into the matter, NPSU state president, Pratap Singh said that until proper investigation is not done in this case, they will not keep calm. He threatened of mass protests, if genuine students were not given justice. Other who were resent in this present in this press conference including Deepak Raj Panday, Keshav Sharma, Sandeep Kumar, Mohan Singh etc
