JAMMU, May 19: Demanding rehabilitation of evicted families of Gujjar community from Gole Gujral area, the Gujjar Bakarwal Desh Youth Body (GBDYB) continued its protest on 9th consecutive day. Leading the protest, the President GBKDYB Nazakat Khatana said that during the last nine days of protest we are demanding for the proper rehabilitation and assistance to the affected families of Gole Gujral. Khatana said that the Government has totally failed to fulfill our demands and is keeping a stoic silence over the issue adding that no FIR has been lodged against the JDA authorities who damaged the houses of Gujjars. He called upon the political parties and pressure groups to raise their voice and support Gujjars on humanitarian grounds. |
